Audemars Piguet platinum and diamond triple signed (case, movement, and dial) featuring the famed caliber movement #2003 set with 40 round natural brilliants weighing approximately 0.60 carats together.
The amazingly thin (1.64 mm) mechanical movement has a storied history. The creation of this movement was a project that involved the participation of three prestigious, leading and innovative watch houses - Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger LeCoultre.Based on the Audemars Piguet designation 9ML, in 1953 Audemars Piguet retained exclusive rights to market this exquisitely thin movement for the following two years. Vacheron Constantin later introduced this movement as its Ultra Slim 6115. (see blog post here)
This authenticated Audemars Piguet was originally offered as a gents' watch in its corporate advertising campaign (see image #3), however, today it can also be repurposed as a distinctive watch for the confident, smart and accomplished woman.
The density and nobleness of the sleek case fashioned in .950 platinum houses the historical thin movement and contributes to its distinct richness, refinement and rareness in watches. The platinum and diamond case gives this notable watch a distinctive "feel" and sensation when worn.
This is a rare opportunity to own this original, late1950's authenticated vintage Audemars Piguet platinum watch with diamonds for the sophisticated man or woman.
The watch has been cleaned and is in good working order. The crystal has been replaced. The watch features the original ivory/cream dial. Non-original snakeskin band and buckle, no original box or papers.
